I have started assembling a new ventilation system with a proper squirel cage blower and a new supply of fresh air.  I will post more pictures when the job is done and working properly.

For those who have not had the pleasure to meet either one of them, I can assure you they are both as nice and helpful as they are talented.

The class was 2 days with the first focused on making cabochons. Various techniques and ways of making them were demonstrated and practiced in the studio. The second day we were shown the fundamentals of preparing, sawing, filing, soldering and polishing silver to create a ring and set our newly made cabochons in it.

I added on a few days to the trip, to let my feet thaw out a bit, and have a few pictures to share of the San Diego area.

I learned something about photographing surfers, the pictures are just not that interesting unless they are crashing.

I have been away from the torch for almost two years and now its time to get back to work.

It looks a little different around here doesn’t it?  Well that is on purpose.

I am heading artistically in a different direction so it was time for a new look and all the old pictures and posts are gone.  Please check back and watch the progress as new ideas come together.
